George Washington Lyon was a physician, born in New York City, on October 14, 1828. He received his B.A. from Yale in 1851. He graduated from the College of Physicians and Surgeons and practiced medicine in N.Y.C., later moving to Kalamazoo, Michigan where he practiced until his death on November 23, 1875.
